Privacy & Confidentiality
Privacy & Security
Your privacy and security are important to me. I use encrypted platforms for telehealth sessions and take the necessary precautions to protect your personal information. If you ever have questions about your data, please don't hesitate to ask.
Confidentiality & Privacy Policy
Confidentiality is a cornerstone of therapy. Your privacy is my top priority, and confidentiality is a fundamental aspect of our work together. As a licensed therapist, I adhere to the ethical standards and legal guidelines set forth by the relevant licensing boards, ensuring that all information shared in therapy is kept strictly confidential.
Everything we discuss in sessions remains between us, with the following exceptions as required by law:
Imminent Harm: If there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, I am legally required to take appropriate steps to ensure safety, which may include disclosing information to relevant authorities.
Child or Elder Abuse: If there is suspicion or disclosure of abuse, I am obligated to report it to the appropriate authorities to ensure the protection of vulnerable individuals.
Court Orders: In rare cases, if a court of law issues a subpoena, I may be required to release information. This would only happen after discussing it with you first.
If you ever have concerns about confidentiality, please feel free to ask. I am committed to being transparent and answering any questions you may have about how your personal information is protected. I also ensure that all communications, whether in person or through electronic means, are secure to maintain your privacy.
You can feel confident that the safe space we create together is one where your privacy is respected and valued.
